    As president of Boisset Family Estates, Jean-Charles Boisset leads one of the most prestigious, family-owned, wine companies in the world. Under his watchful eye, Jean-Charles continues to expand the family business with a fierce commitment to sustainable, organic, and Biodynamic® farming and the wine lifestyle. Today, the Boisset family’s historic vineyards extend from the rich terroirs of Burgundy and the South of France, across the globe to California’s Napa Valley and Russian River Valley.

    Born in the village of Bougeot in the historic wine region of Burgundy, France, Jean-Charles’ destiny as a world-class winemaker was meant to be. His parents Jean-Claude and Claudine Boisset founded the family’s first winery in 1961 with the same innovative and entrepreneurial spirit that Jean-Charles carries on today. He is also dedicated to sharing his vision of the wine world, which is centered on family, passion, history, innovation, a commitment to fine wines, and a dedication to sustainable winegrowing.

    The international wine community continues to recognize Jean-Charles for his leadership and innovation in the winemaking industry. He has been named to Decanter magazine’s annual “Power List” every year since its first publication in 2007. In 2008, Jean-Charles earned the titles of “Meininger’s International Wine Entrepreneur of the Year,” and Wine Enthusiast magazine’s “Wine Innovator of the Year”.

    The French America Foundation awarded him their first-ever French-American Partnership Award in 2013 for creating a strong and enduring French-American partnership. In 2014, Haute Living magazine named him to the “Haute List San Francisco,” and JFK University named he and his wife, Gina Gallo-Boisset, their 2014 "Entrepreneur's of the Year”. Jean-Charles also serves as a member of several boards of directors and is active in a number of environmental groups around the world.

    For decades, the Boisset family has been committed to achieving organic and Biodynamic® designations at all of its family vineyards. Jean-Charles and the rest of the Boisset team have worked tirelessly to integrate these standards into each vineyard’s farming practices and winemaking processes. Boisset is committed to raising the bar and setting the highest standards for responsible and sustainable winemaking. We call this revolution in sustainability, Vinocology™.

    WORKING TOWARD 100% SOLAR!

    Boisset Collection states its California wineries, Raymond Vineyards and DeLoach Vineyards, will be 100 percent solar powered with the completion of solar installations this summer; and Raymond Vineyard’s Napa Valley estate vineyards in Rutherford and St. Helena became certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers and certified biodynamic by Demeter USA.

    Adherence to organic and biodynamic farming practices is a hallmark of Boisset properties worldwide, and Jean-Charles Boisset, proprietor of Raymond Vineyards, began implementing organic and biodynamic farming practices soon after purchasing the winery in August 2009.
